Nichole Shirell, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, is an award-winning author, poet, recording artist, and community strategist who uses her voice to raise awareness about current and past social issues. Her poem “Migraine” is a powerful testament to violence plaguing the black community. She is the owner of Nichole Shirell Enterprises and a member of Gas House Empire.
